St Andrews Day 2013

It was sad news, to wake up this morning, to hear about the tragic events in Glagow, which happens to be about 35 miles away from me.

I had intended to write a blog extolling the virtues of the skincare range, but it seems rather banal when countrymen and women are waiting to hear whether or not their friends and family have been hurt by the incident. However I know that for many people, both local and far away, it will hardly even register, the fact that a helicopter came down on a crowded pub in Glasgow last night. So I dedicate today’s blog to all those who have been affected, either directly or indirectly on the tragic accident that happened to The Clutha, last night.

We have had wild winds and bitterly cold ones at that, for the past 6 weks or so. There have been days where we have had to scrape the ice off the windscreen in the mornigs, and it takes a toll on our skin.

So my first recommendation for mature skin in the winter is the nourishing facemask. This rick facemask is designed to combat the drying effect that wind and dry heated environments have on the mature skin.  Image

This rich formulation delivers ultimate proto-col facial skin care. A nourishing, luxurious facemask.
Natural extract of Algae helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles while Coral Seaweed, rich in amino acids and containing Calcium and Magnesium for healthy skin, intensely moisturises for smooth, hydrated skin. Plant derived Collagen, which is made up of three types of plant Collagen, has been specially selected for its potent anti-ageing formulation. Neroli Oil and Magnesium stimulate skin cell regeneration and improve skin elasticity. Zinc, essential for the growth of healthy new cells, accelerates the healing process while cooling and soothing Aloe Vera helps heal skin. Powerful antioxidants Vitamins C and E protect the skin from UV damage and environmental pollution while skin softening Jojoba Oil hydrates.

Application: apply to thoroughly cleansed skin. Start by applying along the cheekbone and smile line and smooth the mask thinly and evenly onto skin in an upward motion

This little beauty has become a “must” in my beauty routine twice a week.

Secondly, I recommend the Instant Manicure. Here is what they have to say about it.

Gain super smooth hands with this rejuvenating blend of essential oils and Dead Sea salts. Sensational natural aromatherapy to condition even the unhappiest hands.

Cold winds leave the hands chapped and sore. This deliscious handscrub gently exfoliates the rough skin, leaving the skin soft and smooth. I love this product, and hope my hubby reads this and makes sure that there is a pot of it in my stocking. I have left the nearly empty pot lying around the bathroom for the past few weeeks hoping that he will take the hint!

Having made sure that my hands are super smooth, I finish with applying my handcream. This is a rich cream which penetrates quickly without leaving that sticky feeling that so many other handcreams leave.

Naturally rich in Vitamins A, E & F, proto-col’s nourishing collagen hand cream soothes rough, dry and chapped hands boosting cellular activity and improving skin elasticity. Combining royal jelly, a natural antibacterial agent and a rich source of Vitamin B5, with shea butter and collagen to hydrate and nourish, regenerate and protect, proto-col’s collagen hand cream leaves your hands feeling beautifully soft and supple.
The light formulation absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy residue, helping to restore the youthful appearence of tired looking skin and nails. Massage proto-col’s collagen hand cream into your skin throughout the day, providing you with fabulously soft, intensely moisturised, younger feeling skin.
